Here at DFG we know a breeding program is only as strong as the starting stock. I’ve spent the better part of my life curating, hunting, and sourcing the most elite and special plants. This special hareem is central to my work and learning how they breed, and outcross is key to judging the merits of new males. So, here are my treasures!
The 3 times og was a fun f1 I made about 6 years ago now. She is serious og x treemans Orange OG sr71 Purple Kush. This cut was originally found out of my seeds by Emerald Gardens PDX, who gifted it to me after being so impressed by her. She is one of my strains that’s in the 30% + THCA club, and her effect is not for the novice. Very potent, with an overpowering body stone, deep relaxation, and with strong pain killing effects. She can also display beautiful colors as well. Terpene profile of this gal is sour rotting teeth, chem, and nose tingling raunchy tones. She performs indoors or outdoors, and flower time is a typical og – around 10 weeks for that amazing head stash. 8 weeks for the impatient or those wanting the quick turnarounds
The blackberry moonshine is a very special one to me, and it is an accidental creation! I sent a friend of mine, Dlopez1420, some Blackberry Jabbas seeds that another friend of mine, twodogseeds, made and wanted tested out by some folks. Dlopez had the Blackberry Jabbas running in his room and a male was accidently moved over instead of culled and he ended up seeding up the bigworm prime moonshine mother. Dlopez sent me some seeds of this happy accident, Prime Moonshine x Blackberry Jabbas, which I then ran and found several beautiful plants out of. The Number 12 ended up my permanent keeper and has been used in many crosses and projects of mine over the last 5 years. She comes out tangerine citrus candy with sour undertones. She is very resinous and yields solid flowers. She has shown time and time again, even in crappy outdoor seasons, pm immunity, and nearly impervious to mold. Only mold I’ve ever pulled out of her was due to overlooked budworms. She’s been featured in many crosses, the most loved by fans seems to be the Dragons Brew, and she will continue to be used in many upcoming projects.
The stardawg barely even needs this introduction…but for those that don’t know. Stardawg was bred by top dawg seeds, and this cut is from the 1st release and been held for a long time. Her terpene profile is sour earthy kush and gas. Potent as hell, and very narcotic heavy smoke. Shes certainly not one to smoke if you have shit to do lol. The cut I have was given to be me by my friend Fifty415 and is a true gem. She’s been used by many breeders for a reason!
Another one that needs no introduction. Everyone knows the infamous TK…the queen of all OGs, and a pillar of cannabis genetics. What more can be said, she’s a mainstay for a reason. Pure gas, and a potent in your face smoke. Wants a lot of Cal MG, and needs support, but other than that, she’s a dream.
The garlic breath was bred by Thug Pug and selected by me as part of our ongoing collaboration projects. This expression is a loud, disgustingly good, rotting garlic, skunk, and onion terpene profile. Its one you wouldn’t think would be enjoyable, but for the funk lovers like me, she is a gem. Has a more potent than a standard cookie indica type effect, with the couch lock, relax, eat some pizza, and chill vibes. Easy to grow, yields large spears, goes beautiful colors, very high resin production, and all in all, a winner. She also is very mold and mildew resistant, so makes for a good line for northern growers as well.
The orange dreams is a line I made about 5 or so years ago now, and have collected cuts from several farms, as well as making my own selections. While this was a regular seed line, for whatever reason, it made very few males, and so far, most the crosses off the orange dreams are similar, and produce much higher % of females vs males from seed. The linage is hemlock wet dreams x treeman’s orange og sr71 purple kush. I have several expressions that I am holding onto and using in programs. The 1 is the narrow leaf leaner, is the most reminiscent to the wet dreams side of the family, with a loud fermented oranges terpene profile and a nice uplifting sex yoga art type effect. The 3 is the broad leaf leaner, with a sour terpene profile and overwhelming body stone that will have even the most seasoned smokers grinning. The 5 (Now Retired) Is a pure citrus terpene hybrid look with the biggest colas and the heaviest buds. The number 6 (Now retired) is the most SR71 leaner and is longest flower, with tons of purple colors, and a pure kush terpene. Lastly, the Lisa keeper, is a good balance between the parents, with a loud citrus kush gassy terpene profile, large bud structure, beautiful colors, and a 9-week flower time. All are beautiful in their own way and have been used with a few males. The 1, 3, and Lisa are cuts I plan to continue working with and plan keeping around as long as possible. Test reports on these range from 24-31% THCA.
The i-95 is a line bred by Top Dawg Seeds. This cut was given to me by fifty415 and is one that is also a very nice line. She is a very commercial OG, makes very large grenade buds, that reek of gas. She is not quite as potent as the tk or stardawg, but still very nice smoke. Shes easy to grow, and not at all fussy. Does well indoors, or outdoors, as well as greenhouse. I’ve only made a few crosses with her so far, but I expect to continue working with her and creating more fun projects.
Ah the blue dream…love her or hate her, she has helped many farmers pay their bills and put food on their tables. She is the very definition of easy, vigorous, and dependable. Always throws down, inside or outside, and you can bet the farm on her reliability to produce high grade flower. Her terpene is a blueberry pez candy with some hazey notes. In her offspring you can pretty much count on that vigor, massive size potential, and long happy high she is known for. All in all, she is a beautiful plant with a reputation.
Another strain that’s standing thru the test of time. I can’t say for 100% sure my cut is the real deal that chem dog popped all those years ago as I am not chem dog…what I can say is if she is not, she’s a very close ringer and a dank cut. She was given to me by hazeman, whose held her for over a decade. Loud skunky nasty terps, with a devasting stone, munchies, sweats, and head pressure. Shes a bit tricky to get done right. Winter runs she is a star, but not the biggest fan of summer heat, and can throw the variegation and some nanners when unhappy with life. Wants a lot of Cal, and needs help supporting fat chunky buds. She’s one I plan to keep in my garden as long as possible, and has already been used in some projects, with many more to come!
While I must confess to not the biggest cookie fan, Id have to say as far as cookies, the White tahoe Cookies is probably my favorite. The OG side of her adds more oomph to the smoke verse the forum, while also adding a bit more vigor. This cut was bred by kush4breakfast, and sourced thru both fifty415, and then replaced with the archive cut when I lost the fifty415 cut. They were identical, but for posterity’s sake, might as well be as specific as possible. I’ve done several projects with the WTC, the biggest being the Tahoe Dragon Cookies V1 and V2, which is x dragons stash f2. V1 featured 3 Stash f2 males, and V2 featured just the red Jurassic dragons stash f2 male. Several other projects are in testing, and possible for release at a later date.
I have her, and I do put males on her, thus far I have not released any. The forum, while infamous thanks to the work of Berners music, is not really the best breeder in my humble opinion. Not the most stable, and definitely on the more runt side of things, I do keep her around to play with. Maybe one of these days I can find the right pairing and release some crosses. For now, all of my work with her has been testor freebies private stock type lines.
